About

There were ten years of my life that didn’t include ballet – birth to five years old, and 12 to 17 years old, the latter being the years that allow you meld a career.

So, I’ve danced for 45 years and am not a dancer. Well, not a professional dancer, but a passionate unprofessional who in recent years had the good fortune to work for American Ballet Theatre as Event Coordinator for their Dancer Reunion (how about meeting every dancer you’ve ever loved in your life?) and blessed with continuing on as archivist and social media diva for the Antony Tudor Ballet Trust (a gig that evolved after coordinating their Antony Tudor Centennial Celebration at The Juilliard School).

I’m here to share my thoughts on ballet, my lifetime passion, including an inside peek at the professional, and “unprofessional,” ballet world, past and present. Merde!

Hi Adria, my sister Cristina Escoda suggested I follow your blog, and I’ve enjoyed catching up on your posts. Coincidentally, my latest blog post is on Grand Révérence with Ice Cream Sandwiches!

    A big curtsey,
    Carla Escoda
